Density Data Analysis – CoDaWork2024 satellite meeting

DDA meeting program available here

Recent research is showing an increasing interest in the modeling of probability density functions as data objects and its potential for application in varied areas, with different methodological approaches rapidly emerging. In this dynamic context, we feel that this could be a good timing to gather some people and build an informal group to share ideas and knowledge revolving this exciting topic, thus hopefully accelerating progress in the field.

As many of us have developed this scientific interest from the side of compositional data analysis, namely within the setting of Bayes spaces, the CoDaWork conference is a natural environment to set up a meeting and start the discussing. In this vein, we invite you to the one-day satellite meeting “Density Data Analysis” (DDA) to be held on Monday, 3th of June 2023. This scientific meeting is planned to include a short introductory course on Bayes spaces, a few scientific sessions, a round table, and an informal get-together in the evening. Although it is possible to join this event without presenting any contribution, submission of abstracts for possible oral or poster format presentation are encouraged and they will be included into the book of abstracts of the CoDaWork. Although we have somehow a bias towards approaches based on Bayes spaces, we will be happy to discuss any other methodological approaches too.

You are all cordially welcome to participate in this CoDaWork2024 pre-conference event, as well as to please share this invitation to any colleagues, collaborators and PhD students who could have an interest in this topic.

Finally, note that although we encourage in person attendance to facilitate discussion and fruitful networking, online registration to the DDA meeting is also available.

For abstract submission and registration, please use the sections above.
